MB MixHead
MixHead is a classic 90's style tape emulation plugin. Rather than trying to be an absolutely faithful simulation of analog tape, it captures some of the key elements of the excitement that tape brings to the recording process without many of its downsides.
It is also a key component of Serban Ghenea’s stereo mix bus. In fact, Serban graciously contributed a preset in MixHead for the settings that he most often used with the original device.
While the device was originally generally used as a mix bus processor and has not been available on the market for many years, now, with MixHead you’ll find that you can use it to great effect on the main bus, groups, and even individual channels.
The 3.75 IPS mode adds more aggressive tape distortion and frequency response, and can help with that lo-fi sound on a bus or can be used to simply beef up individual channels.
